Jan Schipper

Jan studied business economics followed by a postgraduate degree in accounting at VU University in Amsterdam. In 1992 Jan started his career at Ernst & Young’s international practice in Amsterdam. In 1997 he became finance director of an insurance broker. Three years later he started working as a management consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he performed various tasks in the field of interim and project management and consultancy.

Jan has been a self-employed consultant and interim manager since 2003. As interim manager, he performed various assignments as a line manager or project manager with a strong focus on the bank and insurance industry:

• Programme manager to improve annual reporting in banking and insurance, Utrecht
• Reporting manager and responsible for the first IFRS-based annual report and IPO, banking and insurance, Utrecht
• Financial director, responsible for refunding, insurance broker, Amersfoort
• Project manager, implementation of IFRS for several divisions at an insurance company, Amsterdam
• Corporate controller and structuring of financial position after a merger with insurer, Diemen
• Programme manager, complex change project, semi-public organization, Amsterdam
